Frequently Asked Questions
Is acupuncture painful for my pet?
No, veterinary acupuncture is generally well tolerated. The needles are very thin, and most animals relax during the treatment. Some even fall asleep!
How many sessions are needed?
It depends on the condition being treated. For acute issues, 3–5 sessions may be sufficient. For chronic conditions, ongoing treatment may be recommended. We will develop a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.
Can my pet continue taking its current medication?
Yes, acupuncture complements conventional treatments. It may even make it possible to reduce the dosage of certain medications over time, under veterinary supervision.
What types of animals can benefit from acupuncture?
I mainly treat dogs and cats.
